What does it do in practice?

Input Change:

If the apartment building has two doors (e.g. main entrance and back door), the AK5343 decides which door panel will be activated.

Isolation:

When you talk to Input A, it "closes" the line of Input B to protect privacy.

Intercom:

Allows conversation between apartments without the conversation being heard outside on the street.
